"Fly Plattsburgh"

While working for the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau, I created blogs for the Plattsburgh International Airport (PBG) during its $55-million expansion project. These blogs were featured in the airport's monthly newsletters promoting the building's most recent features and updates.


The first time I ever flew was my junior year of college. It was from New York to California with three layovers. I knew next to nothing about gates, terminals, and TSA or how to navigate any of them – luckily I was traveling with a friend. I knew the next time I flew I was going to have to give it the old post-college try – on my own. So, what’s the big deal with the Plattsburgh International Airport’s new exit lanes we keep hearing so much about? How do they work? The technology itself operates pretty simply. It’s not so much what this automation adds to the airport that’s impressive; it’s what it eliminates, which is the need for TSA staff at the beginning of the exit lane. READ MORE >>


In case you didn’t already know, the Plattsburgh International Airport is currently undergoing a $55 million terminal expansion that will make it not only more comfortable and visually appealing, but also more efficient and able to meet visitors’ needs.
